At last I have a new layout/design for my site. It’s purple you may ask/or not. There is nothing wrong with any colour, its more about how you feel about it.
My own thoughts… it seemed like a good colour at the time. How I came to that choice… well I figured why not. It’s a nice peaceful colour to be getting on with, and I kinda think it works well with white.

I believe we all at some point need to get away from it all and ground ourselves back to earth and have time out. Of course we all need the day to day stuff to exhist and pay the bills, but also it is just as important to find time for ourselves, and to take time out and just be.

Just being you though, can be the hardest thing to do. Every day we are influenced by ‘stuff’ such as ‘Work’, ‘Tv’, ‘adverts on tv’, ‘newspapers’, ‘we must buy this’, ‘we must buy that’, ‘buy now, but hey you can just pay us later’, or ‘saving on your mobile phone’ (what did we actually do before they came along?)

Ok, I know all that is a bit glib, but the main point is this… Just being and having time out.

From my point of view is not just thinking about work or watching more tv, shopping, or watching a film, far from it. An exmaple being: taking a closer look at nature and having a real good long hard look a flower next time you see one, or at night, look up at the sky. Just taking short moment in time to spend looking at what is really real, can actualy be very rewarding.

Garden

I have to admit I do like gardening.
As a kid, I was dragged visited quite a few ‘open gardens’ with my parents. At the time it hardly seemed the place to be, as all ‘I saw then’ were boring plants boring grass, more boring plants and more boring grass and nothing to do. Looking back I now appreciate those times. My Mum has always said that she finds it amazing that you can plant a tiny seed and from it will grow (depending what seed it of course) beautiful intricate and delicate flowers, or a whole bunch of sweet tasting tomatoes. Of course she is totally right… it is amazing.

Tinkering time

It is true what they say about men and their sheds. I’m a ‘save anything I think useful later on’ kind of guy.. cos it could come in handy for being used in something I have not yet thought of yet but might do soon. There is nothing wrong with that… it is recycling.

The Beach

I have been lucky enough to have lived near a beach for most of my life and I still do. The beach has been the main inspiration in my art. Local beaches for me are Felpham and Bognor Regis. Both provide continuous inspiration.

Life
Where ever we live, there will always be something rewarding… all we need to do is look, accept and say thank you.
